Mio is designed with your privacy as the top priority. This policy explains how your data is handled when you use our application.

Data Storage

Everything stays local. All your thoughts, reflections, audio recordings, mood logs, and statistics are stored entirely on your device using IndexedDB (browser local storage). Nothing is transmitted to any server or third party.

What We Store Locally

The following data is stored on your device:

• Thoughts: Text entries and audio recordings you create during sessions
• Reflections: Your answers to reflection prompts
• Mood logs: Your mood selections
• Statistics: Count of your sessions and activities
• Settings: Your preferences for theme, notifications, and reminders
• Session data: Temporary data during active sessions

Data Security

Your data is:

• Stored only on your device
• Never transmitted over the internet
• Never shared with any third parties
• Accessible only through your browser
• Automatically deleted if you clear your browser data

Audio Recordings

When you use voice recording features, audio is captured using your device's microphone and stored locally. Recordings are never uploaded or shared.

Notifications

If you enable reminder notifications, these are handled entirely by your device's browser. No data is sent to external servers to deliver notifications.

Cookies and Tracking

Mio does not use cookies for tracking. We do not collect analytics or usage data. Your usage of the app is completely private.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or cache. Session data is automatically deleted after completion of the release process.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
